illustrators create drawings that visually represent ideas, concepts and designs of the garment.. Traditionally, pen and pencil drawings or watercolors were the most common illustration mediums; however, many illustrators are converting to digital illustration applications.Illustrators can find employment with fashion advertising firms and also with fashion designers. Illustrators visualize and produce artwork and line drawings based on concepts dictated by clients and hence they are one of the highly paid employees in the fashion industry. Illustrators communicate directly with clients during all stages of the illustration process and make necessary changes and they are also required to work on several projects of fashion shows at once, as well as meet strict deadlines.

Specialisation in Garment Construction :

This specialisation course mainly focus on the techniques and skills required to draft and create original garment designs. This program will introduce students to the processes and technology associated with fashion design as well as the creative and technical considerations of the apparel industry. Students will have the opportunity to design and create their own apparel using different equipment and software programs. Textile printing is the process of applying colour to fabric in definite patterns or designs. In properly printed fabrics the colour is bonded with the fibre, so as to resist washing and friction. Textile printing is related to dyeing but in dyeing properly the whole fabric is uniformly covered with one colour, whereas in printing one or more colours are applied to it in certain parts only, and in sharply defined patterns.It is a short term course that can be learned for the hobby and at a professional level it has a bright career ahead.
